Planned Parenthood reported 434,450 abortions in its latest annual report, while a CWALAC review found a more than 40 percent increase in reported “gender-affirming” services across 14 regional affiliates. Some affiliates offer hormones to teens as young as 16, raising grave concerns about fertility, taxpayer funding, and America’s duty to protect children.
Pro-life advocates have long warned about Planned Parenthood’s role in ending innocent lives through abortion, but now the threat has expanded. The abortion giant is not only ending lives in the present but it is advancing practices that may prevent future generations of children from ever being conceived.
How? By targeting minors with medical interventions that can lead to permanent sterility.
This is not speculation. It can be clearly seen in Planned Parenthood’s expanding involvement in providing so-called gender-transition services.
A review by Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee found that 14 Planned Parenthood regional reports – the regions that consistently publish comparable data – recorded a more than 40 percent increase in reported ‘gender-affirming care,’ visits, or services from 2023-2024 to 2024-2025. Because Planned Parenthood’s national 2024-2025 annual report does not provide a national total for ‘gender-affirming care,’ CWALAC aggregated figures from regional reports that publish comparable data. Planned Parenthood’s national gender-care page lists estrogen and anti-androgen therapy, testosterone therapy, puberty blockers, surgery referrals, and transition support, while noting that not every health center offers every service.
“This is several years in a row now that this number has increased despite society for the most part turning its back and reversing course on a lot of this,” Macy Petty, a legislative strategist for CCA, told the Daily Wire. “Planned Parenthood has found a way to continue this harmful and destructive business.”
The numbers reveal the scope. The region covering Planned Parenthood affiliates in the Great Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana, and Kentucky, reported 24,295 such services in 2025, up nearly 100 percent from the 13,432 services provided in 2024. Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio reported 8,644 transgender services in 2025, up from 6,206 the year before. In Pasadena, visits jumped from 1,544 to 2,346 in just one year. Planned Parenthood advertises telehealth for gender-affirming care, and at least one large affiliate says patients can often receive a prescription the same day as a first visit; however, some affiliates list additional steps for 16- and 17-year-olds.
This is not a marginal trend. It is a growing pipeline that places the future of many young people, and the possibility of future families, at risk.
These interventions can carry fertility risks, especially depending on the age and stage at which treatment begins. Cross-sex hormones, for example, alter developing bodies in ways that can result in permanent sterility, long-term health complications, and alarmingly, long-term safety concerns, including vascular and cardiovascular risks, remain serious and unresolved. The consequence is not abstract. It is measurable in current lives that will suffer immensely and in future lives that will never be.
At the same time that its transgender business grows, Planned Parenthood continues to expand its abortion operations. In fiscal year 2025, the organization performed 434,450 abortions, an 8 percent increase from the previous year and a staggering 34 percent increase since 2014.
Taken together, these realities form a pattern. Planned Parenthood ends lives before birth while promoting interventions that can prevent future lives from ever being conceived. The result is a compounding loss, both immediately and generationally.
Scripture speaks with clarity. “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward” (Psalm 127:3). From the beginning, God’s command was direct: “Be fruitful and multiply” (Genesis 1:28). Family is not an incidental accident of biology. It is part of God’s created order.
Yet today, we are witnessing the systematic destruction of that order, especially among the young and the most vulnerable.
CCA President Penny Nance did not mince words, stating, “We must stop giving taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood — we should not be funding this evil organization.”
That conviction is gaining ground among Americans concerned about both ethics, and public policy.
What makes this even more troubling is the lack of transparency. Planned Parenthood’s national report hides the true scope of its transgender services, burying details in footnotes. At a time when these services are expanding rapidly, the organization seems determined to keep the American people in the dark.
Why? Because a major funding battle is on the horizon. Federal support for abortion providers was reduced under recent legislation, but that protection is set to expire. Billions of taxpayer dollars are at stake. But the American people are beginning to see the truth: Planned Parenthood is an anti-human operation.
Petty said that President Trump was especially focused on cutting off any federal involvement with sex-rejecting procedures and hormone treatments, adding that she believed Planned Parenthood was working to keep public attention centered on abortion rather than what she described as its side business of “transing kids.” That concern aligns with the Trump administration’s stated policy. In Executive Order 14187, President Trump directed federal agencies not to “fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support” pediatric gender-transition procedures, including puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, and to use federal authority to protect children from life-altering medical interventions they are too young to fully understand.
This is not merely political. It concerns the moral direction and future of the nation. A society that profits from ending lives and preventing future generations has lost its moral bearings.
Jesus issued a sobering warning about harming children. In Matthew 18:6, He said it would be better for someone to have a millstone hung around their neck and be cast into the depths of the sea than to “cause one of these little ones” to stumble. His words reflect the seriousness with which God views the protection of the young.
Today, vulnerable teenagers who are struggling with identity are being pushed into life-altering treatments they cannot possibly understand. Instead of being guided by truth and compassion, they are affirmed in confusion and led toward permanent harm.
The Church cannot remain silent, parents cannot remain passive, and lawmakers cannot remain neutral. Taxpayer funding is an expression of our national values. Every dollar sent to Planned Parenthood supports an organization deeply involved in practices that millions of Americans know are both morally wrong, medically dangerous, and societally damaging.
Defunding Planned Parenthood is not extreme. It is the only responsible choice.
Even defunding Planned Parenthood addresses only part of the crisis. The deeper problem is spiritual. Our culture is attempting to sever the connection between body, truth, and purpose, risking irreversible consequences for the next generation.
The Christian worldview affirms the goodness of the body, the reality of male and female, and the beauty of family as God designed it. It offers hope to the confused and truth to a culture drifting further from its foundations.
What is at stake is not only the innocent lives being ended today, but the generations of Americans who may never be born tomorrow.
