A voter in New Hampshire is eligible to vote absentee under the following circumstances:

The voter will be absent from is or her polling location on the day of the election.

The voter will be unable to vote on Election Day for religious reasons.

The voter is physically disabled and thus unable to visit the polls.

The voter is unable to visit the polls due to military service.

The voter is unable to visit the polls “because an employment obligation requires [the voter] to remain physically at work or to be in transit to or from work from the time the polls open until the time the polls close.”

New Hampshire Registration Deadline

• In-Person: Election Day.

• By Mail: Received between 6 and 13 days before Election Day.

New Hampshire Registration Requirements

To register to vote in New Hampshire you must be:

• be a citizen of the United States

• be 18 years of age or older on the day of the next election

• live in the state before being allowed to register. Note: There is no minimum period of time you are required to have lived in the state. You may register as soon as you move into your new community
