The U.K. is taking legislative action against China after multiple investigations show that the Chinese government is complicit in participating in the murder of religious and ethnic minorities by engaging in forced organ harvesting.

Last February, the U.K.’s Medicines and Medical Devices Act officially became law, marking the first official government response to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its policy of murder by harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, Uyghurs, Muslims, Christians, and other minority groups held as prisoners in China.

The legislation was passed with amendments to the previous Medicines and Medical Devices Act, which would “confer power to amend or supplement the law relating to human medicines, veterinary medicines, and medical devices, make provision about the enforcement of regulations, and the protection of health and safety, concerning medical devices, and for connected purposes.”

Additionally, a group of 12 U.N. human rights experts claimed that detained Chinese minorities were being subjected to forced organ harvesting, which the CCP has strongly denied. “Forced organ harvesting in China appears to be targeting specific ethnic, linguistic or religious minorities held in detention, often without being explained the reasons for arrest or given arrest warrants, at different locations,” the group said. “We are deeply concerned about reports of discriminatory treatment of the prisoners or detainees based on their ethnicity, or religion or belief.”

Liu Yuyin, a spokesman for the Chinese mission in Geneva, pushed back against the U.N panel, insisting, “The trading of human organs and illegal organ transplantation are strictly prohibited by law.”

This June, an independent tribunal sitting in London, chaired by Sir Geoffery Nice, Queen’s Counsel, a prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunal in Yugoslavia, concluded unanimously that China has been engaging in the murder of detainees for organ transplants and that the illegal practice is ongoing and continuing. “The conclusion shows that very many people have died indescribably hideous deaths for no reason and that there is no evidence of the practice being stopped and the tribunal (has determined) that it is continuing.”

The investigation also noted it had taken evidence from medical experts, human rights investigators, and others. There have also been calls, supported by 40 MPs, for the U.K to ban all patients from traveling to China for transplant surgery, joining Israel, Italy, Spain, and Taiwan who have also backed similar restrictions.

Additionally, several politicians from around the world engaged in a September 19 summit and condemned China’s continued practice of killing prisoners of conscience through forced organ harvesting. “Organ donation is the precious act of saving a life, but forced organ harvesting is commercialized murder and, without doubt, among the worst of crimes,” stated Lord Phillip Hunt, a member of the U.K parliament and a former British health minister.

“I hope this event inspires many around the world to take positive action against this crime,” Hunt added, referring to the World Summit on Combatting and Preventing Forced Organ Harvesting, which was organized in part by the advocacy group Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting.

Murdering religious and ethnic minorities by taking their organs and then profiting off of them is one of the most monstrous things imaginable. These people are made in the image of God, and that image is being violated not only in the use of human beings as organ supplies but also in the murder of innocent people based on their religion or ethnicity.

This is truly something the world should unite against. China is a nation that has committed many human rights atrocities and abuses yet they are allowed to sit on the U.N. Human Rights Council. China is one of the greatest perpetrators of evil in our world yet is enabled to bully the rest of the world, including the United States. All the CEOs and U.S. politicians who cry about the injustices of the United States should denounce these heinous actions, and corporations should leave China. What could it possibly take to convince them that money does not justify doing business with a communist dictatorship that does such atrocious things to its own people?
