Two K-12 teachers are caught indoctrinating their students with radical ideologies

/

As parents continue to confront school authorities over the introduction of Marxist and divisive, anti-American ideologies into school curricula, including Critical Race Theory (CRT) and other divisive ideologies, two teachers in California are in hot water after taking it upon themselves to indoctrinate their students with leftist ideology.

Quick Facts

One AP government teacher named Gabriel Gipe was caught in an undercover Project Veritas video discussing his attempts to indoctrinate students.

“I have 180 days to turn them [students] into revolutionaries,” Gipe said, noting that his tactics were to “scare the [expletive] out of them.”

The teacher was quite open about his intentions and views, noting that he both shamed and rewarded students depending on how they responded to his views. “I have an Antifa flag on my [classroom] wall and a student complained about that — he said it made him feel uncomfortable…. Well, this [Antifa flag] is meant to make fascists feel uncomfortable, so if you feel uncomfortable, I don’t really know what to tell you. Maybe you shouldn’t be aligning with the values that this [Antifa flag] is antithetical to,” Gipe Gipe stated.

The teacher posted a calendar of events students could attend for extra credit, including left-wing protests.

Gipe also advocated for a communist overthrow of the government, saying, “Like, why aren’t people just taking up arms? Like why can’t we, you know — take up arms against the state? We have historical examples of that happening, and them getting crushed and being martyrs for a cause and it’s like — okay well, it’s slow going because it takes a massive amount of organization.”

He extolled the Chinese Cultural Revolution, which resulted in the deaths of as many as two million Chinese, many of whom, ironically, were teachers. Mao Zedong, its architect, was responsible for the deaths of an estimated 65 million people during his 27-year reign, according to the Black Book of Communism, making him history’s most murderous ruler.

Gipe also marked students’ papers with stamps of other communist dictators, including Joseph Stalin, Kim Jung Un, and Fidel Castro, each responsible for their own series of sadistic policies and atrocities.

For the school’s part, it seems they were genuinely unaware of what was going on, despite administrators making 25 visits to Gipe’s classroom. A letter sent by school superintendent Chris Evans states that Gipe was teaching the correct material during those visits and there was no evidence of inappropriate signage.

Evans has since offered what seemed to be a sincere apology to parents and students and has assured them that Gipe will be fired.

Elsewhere in California, another teacher named Kristin Pitzen posted a TikTok video in which she stated that she removed the American flag from her classroom because it made her “uncomfortable.”

She explained, “Okay, so during third period, we have announcements and they do the Pledge of Allegiance. I always tell my class, stand if you feel like it, don’t stand if you feel like it, say the words if you want, [you] don’t have to say the words.”

After she removed the American flag, she explained, “In the meantime, I tell this kid, ‘We do have a flag in the class that you can pledge your allegiance to. And he like looks around and goes, ‘Oh, that one?’” before she then panned the camera to show the rainbow flag.

Since her TikTok video went viral, Pitzen has been removed, and New Mesa School District is now investigating the matter.

Parents, unfortunately, can no longer trust school boards, administrators, or even teachers to look out for the best interests of their children.

These examples show why parents must take a proactive and ongoing interest in what their children are being taught or even take their children out of public schools. In the case of Gipe, the school district appeared to do its due diligence by checking in on what was being taught (perhaps based on complaints), but Gipe, like any good communist radical, was quite adept at hiding his agenda and tactics.

Unfortunately, for every Gipe and Pitzen who gets caught admitting their activities on camera, there are others who remain covert. Gipe himself admitted to Project Veritas that he is hardly alone, stating, “There are three other teachers in my department that I did my credential program with — and they’re rad. They’re great people. They’re definitely on the same page.”

Parents are, fortunately, already waking up to this fact, but they must do more to identify and take steps to control what is being taught to their children. Not only should they engage with teachers and school board members at every possible opportunity, but they must make it a point to have ongoing conversations with their child about what they are learning on a day-to-day basis, along with looking closely at all classroom materials and homework. Intensive and organized parental involvement is the best way to protect against indoctrination by radical leftist activists masquerading as teachers.
