Equality: A Dream for Patriots, A Mask for Tyranny

The Standing for Freedom Center is proud to announce the publication of our Spring 2021 journal, “Equality: A Dream for Patriots, A Mask for Tyranny.”

While leadership was discussing a topic for our next journal, we had the advantage of multiple options. Nothing time-sensitive was mustering — until the House of Representatives passed the Equality Act. While the EA is hardly chanced to pass the Senate, at least in the EA’s current drafted form, the idea that so many are supporting legislation that deceptively describes itself as “equal” is concerning.

We immediately shifted gears and focused the theme of our Spring 2021 journal to address this very matter.

The Lord showed us favor as we gathered a host of high-caliber authors to be featured in this timely issue — all of whom carry a unique perspective on why the Equality Act, and the poisonous undertones of such legislation, is detrimental to our country’s founding principle of liberty.

Authors featured in this journal include (in order of print):

Ryan Helfenbein, Executive Director of the Standing for Freedom Center

Secretary Mike Pompeo, former Secretary of State and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency

Pastor Jonathan Falwell, Senior Pastor at Thomas Road Baptist Church

Attorney Kelly Shackelford, President and CEO of First Liberty Institute

Nathan Skates, Standing for Freedom Center

Dr. Shanna Akers, Dean of Liberty University School of Nursing

David Closson, Director of Christian Ethics and Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council

Pastor Jack Hibbs, Senior Pastor at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills

Chike Uzuegbunam, former college student who took his school to the Supreme Court after they violated his religious rights — and won.

John Wesley Reid, Editor-in-Chief at the Standing for Freedom Center
