Prayer March 2020: Graham’s response to a troubled America

Franklin Graham will be leading a Prayer March in Washington D.C. on Saturday, September 26^th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The purpose of Graham’s march is to provide a corporate time of intercession by the Church on behalf of a polarized political climate. The Church is a focal point in America where the lost and broken are looking to us to criticize but also to seek healing.

The website describes this event as a “dedicated prayer march that is focused solely on asking God to heal our land. It is not a protest or political event, and we are asking participants to not bring signs in support of any candidate or party.”

While it’s unclear how many will be in attendance, Liberty University will be sending 44 buses with students and staff.

The march lands on the same day as a separate prayer event called The Return. Led by Jonathan Cahn, The Return will include prayer and worship from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Prayer March will begin at 12pm at the Lincoln Memorial and will proceed to the west side of the United States Capitol. Prayer March staff are asking people to refrain from participating if they display any symptoms of COVID-19.
