Pro-life activist and conservative columnist Mike Adams, 55, was found dead in his home on July 23, 2020.
Adams is best known for his exceptionally articulate and convincing arguments against abortion. Like many columnists, Adams’ opinions were often direct and well-meaning, though some would call him “hateful” for his conservative convictions.
At this time no cause of death has been revealed, though his death comes at a peculiar time as the professor recently received a $500,000 settlement from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington following public uproar over a series of tweets.
One tweet, in particular, caused a fury of outrage among college students and feminist activists. In response to COVID-19 restrictions, Adams provided a snide recommendation for universities:
“Don’t shut down the universities. Shut down the non essential majors. Like Women’s Studies.”

The activist did not shy away from publicly exposing his opinions on abortion nor his position on COVID-19 restrictions.
Abortion intentionally kills an innocent human being.

On June 9th, Adams tweeted to expose the hypocrisy of state leaders by restricting church services, included churches that practice social distancing and safety measures, but turning a blind eye to mass close-quarter protests.
Hold a church service. Call it a protest against Satan.

This evening I ate pizza and drank beer with six guys at a six seat table top. I almost felt like a free man who was not living in the slave state of North Carolina.
Massa Cooper, let my people go!

The tweets lead to two change.org petitions calling for his termination. UNCW responded:
“Over the past several weeks, many of you have inquired about the status of a UNCW faculty member, Dr. Mike Adams, in light of the public attention generated by comments he made on his personal social media channels. We can now share the update that after a discussion with Chancellor Sartarelli, Dr. Adams has decided to retire from UNCW, effective August 1, 2020.”
“Decided to retire” seems a bit more like “retired early to avoid an alternative termination.”
Dr. Adams’ legacy will live on through the lives of those he influenced. As a former pro-choice Democrat, he held a particular angle of leverage used to convince other pro-choicers of the errors of their positions.
Below is a notable event where Dr. Adams aggressively yet intellectually debated pro-choice advocate Dr. Willie Parker, who identifies as a “Christian abortionist.” As reported by Live Action News:
Adams used his opening 20 minutes to clearly point out, using embryology and even video evidence, that the preborn entity in the womb is indeed a human being. “My first premise is that it is wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human being. My minor premise is that abortion does intentionally kill an innocent human being… and my conclusion is that therefore, abortion is wrong,” Adams said. Adams pointed out that it is not vague when life begins, nor is it something strictly religious in nature. We should consult the science of embryology, he said, effectively pointing out how Parker, in his autobiography, “Life’s Work,” contradicts embryology….Adams eventually got Parker to admit that yes, abortion kills human beings, and that he has killed tens of thousands of human beings in his life’s work….
There is no evidence yet to determine any foul play in Adams’ death, so until then this story is still developing and will be updated when more evidence comes in.
